Be Ready of Second Language for AEC

It is apparent that pioneering new markets in the other region as none-native person need to deal with cultural differences. One thing that can show of acceptance into the local social context is ability of local language. If we can speak the local language and can communicate to local people with easily understood, we win local people more than half.

For modern technologies are used in our daily life. We have excellent communication technologies. We are able to learn the local languages as the second or third language (for someone) in the form of online courses or multi-media technologies.

In my opinion, Chinese should come first because many Chinese people had immigrated to Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Next to Chinese should be Thai or Japanese. (You should ever heard that even Barack Obama visited Thailand first of visiting others in ASIAN). Japan is not member of AEC but don’t forget that many Japanese businesses locate in Thailand or other countries in Asia that has low labor cost. There are some services businesses are specialist for Japanese. So if you want to negotiate these Japanese businessmen, you need Japanese skill.

Most of countries in Asia do not use English as second language so learn second (or third) language today for your advantage of career before AEC start in 2015 (see also Introduction to AEC).
